Faith Marindich

Get to know us
My name is Faith Marindich. I am from Kenya. I grew up in different cities in Kenya. I grew up in Eldoret on my grandparents’ farm and then moved to the city with my parents and went to school there before I moved to North Carolina after high school. I decided to join the ACCESS Project because I wanted to make a difference no matter how small in the lives of refugees and immigrants in North Carolina. I was especially drawn to the mission of helping them get access to programs that are beneficial to them by ridging the knowledge gaps that may be present. My goals are to continue with my education in graduate school while still serving my community and hopefully work towards being able to effect policies that affect refugees and immigrant communities. After my AmeriCorps year, I will start applying to graduate school and maybe even come back and serve for second term. In my free time I like cooking and baking occasionally. I also enjoy reading books, hiking and traveling to new places. Fun fact about me I have lived in 3 different countries.
