Get to know us
I was born and raised in Niamey, Niger. I moved to Greensboro, NC with my family in 2017 to find better opportunities. What inspired me to join AmeriCorps this year was the political climate and how communities that are dear to my heart were being affected. I wanted to do my part in helping these communities feel welcomed as someone once did for me. My goals after completing my service are to further my education and start my career in Non-Profit work, which has been a lifelong dream of mine. After this program, preferably something with international development.
In my free time, I enjoy watching Netflix, retail shopping, and chilling with friends. One thing people would be surprised to know about me is that my favorite country is Spain. I have been there twice and recently visited 4 different major cities there and was just blown away each time.
