Get to know us
My family is from Mexico, a pueblo called St. Maria Viciente Guerrero in Puebla, but I was born and raised here in Greensboro, NC.
My inspiration for joining the ACCESS Project is because I want to help people bridge the gaps in healthcare and the position I have will allow me to get that experience.
My goal after my AmeriCorps service is to hopefully complete a third and final service year with the ACCESS Project. I want to make the best use of my time serving my community and gaining insights into how the public have barriers before becoming a physician.
In my free time, I really enjoy working out and triathlon training, but more recently I have tried to pick up reading.
A fun fact about me is on top of serving, Ima currently trying to start a club chapter (The Latino Medical Student Association) on UNCG Campus. They really caught my eye and would like there to be a community for pre-health Latinos.
