Our objective is to fill all AmeriCorps positions with qualified candidates on a first come, first serve basis. The sooner the applicants submit their completed applications, the greater the chance of securing a position. The selection process is described below.

1. Applicants with completed applications will be referred via email to AmeriCorps ACCESS partner agencies (service sites) based on their selected positions. They will be copied on the referral email.

2. Next, the partner agency will reach out to the applicant to schedule an interview or decline based on the applicant’s qualifications.

3. After interviewing with the partner agency, the applicant may or may not be recommended for an AmeriCorps position with that agency.

4. If recommended, the applicant has a second interview with the AmeriCorps ACCESS program director. Following this interview, a final decision is made on the applicant’s fit for an AmeriCorps position, and both the applicant and partner agency are notified. Click below for: a. Documents Needed at the Time of Interview

5. All applicants must pass the National Service Criminal History Checks screening process before receiving an official offer to join the ACCESS program.
