Goal: The goal of Thriving at Three is to assure that Latino immigrant children in Greensboro have a positive and strong foundation from birth to three. The CNNC accomplishes this goal by delivering long-term at-home services to at-risk families until the child’s third birthday, partnering with the parents to provide direct intervention, parenting education, group meetings, case management, referrals, and care coordination for up to three years. There have been more than 100 clients served since the program started; currently, the program is working with 50 families, serving almost 70 children. Thriving at Three uses the United Way Born Learning campaign tools as well as the Parents as Teachers parent education model with a portion of the families served. It also collaborates with the Mental Health Association of Greensboro, Sustainable Health Choices and the Greensboro HIVE, Faith Action International House, and the YWCA to provide the best care for clients.
