Current Programs

Lead Paint Education Project

Contact: Maura Nsonwu at 336.256.0446

Goal: The goal of the Lead Paint Project is to reduce the hazard of Lead Paint among the immigrant community.

Objectives: Immigrants are educated about the hazard of Lead Paint by:

  • testing some homes where immigrant families with children reside,
  • sharing information at health events or health fairs, and
  • distribution of an educational CD about the dangers of lead paint

Population/Area Served: Greensboro immigrant and refugee families with young children
