Interpreter ACCESS Project - Interpreter Training

Goal: To train interpreters to be culturally competent, professional interpreters as a means to obtain culturally and linguistically appropriate health and human services for individuals with Limited English Proficiency, in accordance with Title VI.

IAP provides interpreter training curricula that are taught all over the state of North Carolina.  IAP offers three levels of interpretation training:

Objectives:

Population/Area Served: Thousands of bilingual individuals from various countries have been trained over the past 10 years across North Carolina and from several other states in the U.S.

Sponsoring Source: Fee-based.
